Στις 7 πρωί της Πέμπτης 20 Δεκεμβρίου, τα ΜΑΤ εισβάλανε στην κατάληψη Βίλα Αμαλίας με το πρόσχημα της διενέργειας έρευνας "περι ναρκωτικών". 8 άτομα που βρισκόντουσαν εκείνη τη στιγμή στο κτίριο συνεληφθήκαν και κρατήθηκαν στη ΓΑΔΑ μέχρι τη Δευτέρα, όπου οδηγήθηκαν στον εισαγγελέα και αφέθηκαν ελεύθεροι. Οι κατηγορίες που αντιμετωπίζουν είναι κακουργήματα για κατασκευή εκρηκτικών & οπλοκατοχής για τα άδεια μπουκάλια μπύρας και για κροτίδες, μάσκες, σημαίες κτλ που βρέθηκαν στο κτίριο. Μέχρι στιγμής, η Βίλα Αμαλίας είναι αποκλεισμένη από διμοιρίες ΜΑΤ και δεν είναι ακόμα ξεκάθαρο αν και πότε το κράτος θα προχωρήσει στην πλήρη εκκένωσή της.
Σε καιρο οικονομικής και συστημικής κρισης, το κράτος εξαπολύει επιθεση προς πασα κατευθυνση υποβαθμίζοντας τη ζωή των απο κάτω και προσπαθώντας να εξαφανίσει κάθε πυρήνα αντίστασης και δημιουργίας αρνήσεων. Είτε αυτο μεταφράζεται σε καταπάτηση εργασιακών κεκτημένων ειτε στην προπαγάνδιση ρατσιστικων ιδεωδων που προαγουν τον κοινωνικό εκφασισμό ειτε στη δημιουργια συνθηκών ανασφαλειας με σκοπο την αποδοχή της διαρκους επιτηρησης των ζωών μας, ειτε στη διωξη και σπίλωση πολιτικών χώρων και υποκειμενων αντιτιθεμενων σε όλα αυτά.

At 7am on Thursday December 20th, riot police raided the anarchist squat Villa Amalias in Athens. Eight people were arrested and detained until Monday, which are now facing charges for felonies as the empty beer bottles found in the squat are considered material for the construction of explosives. As of now, Villa Amalias is guarded by riot police and is still unclear if and when the state will go on with eviction.
Once again, the State is trying to terrorise by means of sudden raids against occupied self-organized spaces. Villa Amalias squat is located in a building at the junction of Heyden and Acharnon streets since 22 years ago. Within the squat hundreds of political and cultural events have been taking place (concerts, theatrical performances, screenings etc), while the anti-commercial culture that opposes the culture of sale and profit, power and property has found its place.
